Siberia High-Density RDIMM

Siberia is a next-generation, high-density RDIMM design. It provides a mounting area for 36 large DDR2 DRAM devices. This is accomplished by utilizing the unique features of the ArctiCore module technology. For Siberia, 36 1Gb DRAM components result in a 4GB, 2 rank RDIMM, while 36 2Gb DRAM components result in an 8GB, 2-rank RDIMM. Target applications for the Siberia RDIMM are demanding server, workstation and networking systems.

Siberia RDIMMs are manufactured using standard manufacturing processes with only one additional, automated step for folding of the flexible circuit around the thermal core.

Entorian has been working with JEDEC on standardizing the Siberia RDIMM design, with JEDEC standardization expected to be complete in the Fall of 2006.
