FlashStak™ X-2
FlashStak X-2 enables the highest-capacity data storage solution with commodity TSOP NAND Flash devices for applications such as USB drives, MP3 players, portable video players, PDAs and other consumer electronic devices requiring high-capacity storage in a small device form factor. FlashStak X-2 also offers a sourcing solution for high-density storage needs by stacking more readily available lower-density components.
FlashStak X-2 offers doubling the capacity by vertically stacking two Flash devices while maintaining the footprint of a single standard TSOP package. Based on Entorian’s proven high-volume, high-yield Stakpak technology, FlashStak X-2 uses standard design and assembly processes consisting of a singulated printed circuit board (PCB) interconnect placed horizontally along the edges or leads of the stacked TSOP devices. The resulting stack achieves impressive height profile, product reliability and cost efficiency.
FlashStak X-2 supports commodity high-density Flash devices with either one chip enable (CE) or two CE pins—covering all the NAND flash devices up to 8Gb and 16Gb from major manufacturers worldwide.
