Test Engineer (Storage Products)
At Entorian, we are currently expanding our engineering team for embedded products. We are looking to fill a position for an experienced test engineer with hands-on product and system test expertise for storage products. This position's main responsibility is to lead all test activities leading up to a successful product introduction. Specific responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing product test strategies and test plans for microprocessor-based storage system products
- Designing and implementing system and interoperability test strategies and test plans for storage system components
- Upgrading the test lab for storage products, including specifying required equipment and tools and establishing overall test procedures
- Interacting with subcontractors for regulatory and safety tests, e.g. FCC, CE
Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent is required. The successful candidate will have the following required experience:
- Familiarity with SATA, SAS, or Fiber Channel standards and specific vendor implementations
- Hands-on Product Test for storage products
- Hands-on Integration/System/Interoperability Test, ideally for storage systems
- Defining test strategies and creating comprehensive test plans
Preferred experience includes:
- C or C++ proficiency
- Familiarity with Xilinx FPGA development environment
- Familiarity with Hard Disk Drive (HDD) test or storage interconnect test, e.g. SAS, FibreChannel, InifniBand
