Shipping Lead
This position is responsible for maintaining carrier shipping standards to ensure timely deliveries to Company's customers. Other responsibilities include:
- Coordinate freight forwarder shipments with carriers and Sales Liaison
- Perform carrier charge reconciliation
- Oversee all shipping department processes
- Maintain stocking levels of all packaging and shipping supplies and to generate purchase requests for re-supply
- Assist in Sales Liaison and receiving processes
- Assist in some building maintenance
- Maintain all shipping department records
- Assist in all shipment detail inquiries (i.e., proof of delivery, tracking, freight costs, etc) as required
- Assist in some safety coordination
- Maintain a clean work area
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School diploma plus 1 year shipping experience required; prefer 3 year's warehouse experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of carrier workstation applications for UPS, Fed-Ex and DHL
- Knowledge of handling Freight Forwarders
- Must possess excellent vision for performing inspection or close-up work
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
