Embedded Software Developer
At Entorian, we are currently expanding our engineering team for embedded products. We are looking to fill a position for an experienced software developer for embedded systems. This position is responsible for:
- Designing, implementing, documenting, and unit-testing algorithms running on an embedded microprocessor as part of an FPGA controller
- Implementing protocols for standard interfaces as defined by the appropriate standard
- Implementing and optimizing memory access algorithms (Cache, DRAM, Flash)
- Defining and designing in cooperation with test engineers methods of testing firmware implementations and protocols
- Assisting in debugging problems involving hardware/software interactions in new FPGA designs
- Configuration control of software components and firmware release management
Requirements:
A Bachelors' Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent is required. The successful candidate will have the following required experience:
- Embedded system programming expertise
- Expert-level C or C++ programming skills
- Familiarity with hardware interfaces including interrupts and DMA transfers
- Familiarity with applicable Windows and Linux host tools
Preferred experience includes:
- Familiarity with the Xilinx FPGA development environment
- NAND Flash management
